The 200 Club

The Bashaw & District Agricultural Society proudly hosted the 200 Club, a new signature fundraising event created to bring the community together while generating support for future agricultural and community initiatives. The concept was simple but powerful: 200 guests gathered for an evening of exceptional food, local entertainment, and connection—all while contributing to the ongoing success of the Bashaw & District Agricultural Society.

A Unique Dining Experience
Each course was prepared by a different local chef or artisan, showcasing the incredible culinary talent within our region. Guests also enjoyed beverages from a local brewery, distillery, and winery, with coffee service provided by a local roaster—further reinforcing the event’s commitment to celebrating and supporting small businesses and producers in central Alberta. Entertainment for the evening was provided by country music artist Travis Dolter, whose performance added a lively and memorable atmosphere to the celebration.

Local Love in Every Detail

In addition to an unforgettable night, every guest went home with a trio of locally produced gifts: a bag of potatoes from The Little Potato Company, a jar of honey from Severson Honey Farms, and a jar of jam from Worthy Jams. These thoughtful takeaways highlighted the generosity and strength of our agricultural community.

Powered by Community

The auctions and prize packages also reflected this commitment: every single business that contributed was either local to Bashaw, Alberta-based, or Canadian-made, with some donations even coming from small businesses as far away as Nova Scotia and British Columbia. This wide-ranging support underscored the reach and impact of the 200 Club while keeping the focus firmly on Canadian producers and entrepreneurs.

The 200 Club was made possible through the collective efforts of volunteers, businesses, and community members whose time, skills, and generosity turned vision into reality. The overwhelming success of this first year not only provided critical fundraising support but also strengthened community pride and engagement. With this strong foundation, the Bashaw & District Agricultural Society is excited to grow the 200 Club into an annual cornerstone event that continues to foster connection, celebrate agriculture, and sustain the vibrancy of our rural community.
